Last updated: October 30, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Wite iOS app (bundle ID com.wite.dkuyu, "Wite", "we", "us"). By tapping Agree & Continue at first launch or by using Wite, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Wite.

1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Wite. By using Wite you confirm that you meet this requirement.
2. The Service
Wite is a freediving training log and reel studio. With Wite you can:
- set up training days with a session name, date, discipline, targets, a drill sample, and a safety buddy;
- run a breath-up checklist and log sets with depth or distance, hold time, recovery, feel tags, and spoken or typed notes;
- film or import clips, record voiceovers, and export training reels and log cards;
- browse the Explore feed, post your reels, comment, like, share, and add divers to your Buddy Net;
- send and receive direct messages with other divers in Messages;
- buy Apnea Credits used for reel exports.
Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.
3. Freediving Safety Disclaimer
Freediving and breath-hold training carry serious risks, including loss of consciousness and death. Wite is a logging and video tool. It is not medical advice, coaching, or certification, and it does not monitor you in the water.
- Never train breath-holds alone. Always train with a qualified safety buddy who is watching you.
- Drill samples and targets in Wite are examples for demonstration and baseline pacing only. Adjust them with a certified instructor (for example AIDA, Molchanovs, or SSI) and stop if you feel unwell.
- Do not handle your phone while in the water in a way that distracts you or your buddy.
You are solely responsible for your safety and for the decisions you make while training.
4. Accounts
- Quick Login creates a Wite account on your device without asking for your name, email, or phone number.
- Log Out ends your session. Your data remains available when you tap Quick Login again on the same device.
- Delete Account (Profile → Settings) permanently erases your account and all of your Wite data, as described in the Privacy Policy. Deletion cannot be undone and unused credits are not refunded.
You are responsible for activity on your device and account.
5. Apnea Credits and In-App Purchases
- Apnea Credits are consumable digital items sold through Apple In-App Purchase. Available packs, in ascending price order: Skimfathom ($0.99, 1 credit), Shoalfathom ($2.99, 3), Kelpfathom ($4.99, 6), Shelffathom ($9.99, 12), Slopefathom ($14.99, 19), Wallfathom ($19.99, 26), Trenchfathom ($49.99, 70), and Hadalfathom ($99.99, 150). Local prices may vary by storefront.
- A standard reel export uses 1 credit. A 4K export or a multi-set Chronicle export uses 2 credits. Previews are free. Credits are deducted only after a reel export is completed and verified. New accounts receive 1 welcome credit when they first reach the home screen.
- Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred or exchanged, and are usable only in Wite.
- Payments are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions. All sales are final except as required by law or as provided by Apple. Refund requests must be made to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Credits remaining when you delete your account are forfeited.
6. Community Terms and User Content (EULA)
These community terms apply to everything you post or send in Wite, including Explore posts, captions, comments, direct messages, profile name, headline, bio, and profile photo ("User Content").
6.1 Zero tolerance
Wite has zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You agree not to post or send content that:
- harasses, bullies, threatens, or intimidates anyone;
- contains hate speech or attacks people based on protected characteristics;
- is sexual, pornographic, or sexually suggestive;
- depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, illegal drugs, or dangerous challenges, including unsafe breath-hold practices;
- is spam, a scam, or impersonates another person;
- infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
6.2 Filtering
Wite checks captions, comments, messages, and profile text against a list of objectionable terms, including common character substitutions, before they can be saved, published, or sent. Content that matches is blocked and you are asked to edit it.
6.3 Reporting, hiding, and blocking
- Report a post from its detail page or by long-pressing it in Explore, a comment from the ··· button next to it, or a conversation from a message request or the conversation's ··· menu. Wite creates a ticket ID, copies it to your clipboard, removes the reported item and blocks its author immediately, and lets you email the ticket to our moderation team.
- Block a diver from a post's long-press menu, a comment's ··· menu, or a conversation. Their posts, comments, and messages stop reaching you right away. Manage blocked divers in Settings → Safety & Support.
- Hide a post by swiping left on it in Explore, or a comment with Hide Comment.
- Message requests. Your first message to another diver is a request: you can send only one message until they reply, and they can report or block you at any time. Do not use Messages to pressure, spam, or harass other divers.
6.4 Our response within 24 hours
We review reports within 24 hours. We remove content that violates these Terms and eject the users who posted it.
6.5 Contact
To report inappropriate activity, use Settings → Safety & Support → Report Inappropriate Activity, or email Witesplit@gmail.com.
6.6 Your content
You keep ownership of your User Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and process it only as needed to operate Wite's features. You are responsible for your User Content and confirm you have the rights to post it, including consent from people who appear in your photos and videos.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to misuse Wite, including by attempting to interfere with its operation, reverse engineer it except as permitted by law, bypass content filters or credit charges, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
8. Intellectual Property
Wite, including its design, text, graphics, built-in drill samples, images, audio, and software, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use Wite on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's Usage Rules.
9. Disclaimers
Wite is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of training data, or uninterrupted availability. Exported reels and log cards reflect only the values you enter.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any injury, loss of life, or loss of data arising from your use of Wite or from freediving activities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for Apnea Credits in the 12 months before the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using Wite and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms, including by removing their content and ejecting them from the community.
12. Apple
These Terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Wite or its content, has no obligation to provide maintenance or support, and is not responsible for any claims relating to Wite. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms when Wite changes. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
